DIOR unveiled its brand new fine jewelry and timepieces boutique during the recent Paris Fashion Week. The striking new showcase is located at 34 Avenue Montaigne, just opposite Dior’s historic Paris address

The boutique dedicated entirely to fine jewelry and timepiece situated opposite the Maison’s historic home, on the other side of Rue François Ier. Designed by architect Peter Marino – this stunning new jewel case melds modernity and timeless elegance. Dior’s emblematic grey and pink tones compose an intimate atmosphere. In addition to jewelry and timepiece collections, the boutique offers a VIP salon and features furniture by Vincenzo de Cotiis, as well as artworks by Dana Buckley, Damien Hirst and others.

The Timing of the opening is just right on both Business and Strategic reasons. The Fine Jewelry market is having a momentum and DIOR Jewelry should take a full advantage of this worldwide market estimated at € 16 Billion for the year 2016, just a perfect flawless move.

The 43rd FIAC will be held in Paris from Thursday, October 20th to Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 in the Grand Palais and in its different Hors les Murs sites including the Tuileries Garden, the Jardin des Plantes/National, Museum of Natural History, the garden of the Musée Eugène Delacroix and the Place Vendôme.

FIAC’s General Sector will feature some 186 galleries specialising in modern and contemporary art presenting a balanced panorama of the artistic creation from the modern masters to the most emerging trends.

FIAC and their Official Sponsor the Groupe Galeries Lafayette pursue the Lafayette Sector, a programme designed to showcase galleries of the younger generation. For the 2016 edition, the Lafayette Sector will provide significant funding for a group of tenFrench and international galleries.

Galleries will be deployed in the exceptional spaces of the Grand Palais: the Nave, the Salon d’honneur, and the Upper Galleries located on the first floor of the Grand Palais.

Directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, J’adore’s 45-second film begins with Ms. Theron standing in a desert at night, storm clouds and lightning bolts surrounding the area. Soon it begins to rain, and Ms. Theron says, “I touch the rain” as she runs her hands over her hair, embracing the cool feeling.

Again the very nice performance of Ms Theron and all the talent of Mr Jean Bastiste Mondino are making a successful new DIOR J’ADORE s’ movie.

FRIEZE LONDON 2016 - So ART Right !

The 14th edition of Frieze London Art Fair, having seen major acquisitions by international institutions and significant sales to private collectors. The fair, which brought together more than 160 galleries from 30 countries, attracted a record number of collectors with a 30% increase in attendance on preview day and increased collector numbers throughout the week; alongside a 20% increase in museum groups across Frieze fairs. In 2016, Frieze also partnered with two major acquisition funds for national museums: the Frieze Tate Fund, now supported by WME | IMG, and the launch of the Contemporary Art Society’s Collections Fund at Frieze in support of a regional museum in the UK: Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art.

McQUEEN - THE WILD & MAGICAL CELTIC COLLECTION By Sarah Burton.

Sarah Burton has created a Wild & Magical Celtic Collection for the Spring Summer 2017 for McQUEEN ( KERING GROUP) all inspired and made by local artisans with goosamer fine shetlands lace, and sweet poetic themes as indigenous flora and fauna–wild heather, clover, poppies and roses; sea birds and underwater creatures both real and mythical–is re-imagined.

The colorful interiors of solitary, deserted houses, faded over time and glimpsed through windows, fishing huts, sea walls, shipwrecks, lost treasure, Celtic paisley and the stoles and shawls sported by Scottish nobility are also referenced. Hand-sewn, patched Taatit rugs, traditionally given as wedding gifts, form the backbone of the story.

GIVENCHY (L.V.M.H Group) , A MINERAL BEAUTY MADE BY NATURE & SENSUALITY BY RICCARDO TISCI. Very 2017 !

Riccardo Tisci made a beautiful collection inspired by the Nature, Stones, and Elegance. A real postmodern show, revealing the intelligence of all the creation made by this creator.

“ I wanted to do something more sensual and more powerful, and for me, that’s tied to nature”, mentioned Riccardo Back Stage.

And the Collection was indeed a success with the agate-print slip dresses layered over long tanks, the fiery color palette—red, orange, brown, and pink, but Black as always was also present. The Jewelry giant agate pendants suspended from tortoiseshell chains were signing the show. This collection is going to be a great commercial success

It was a very subdued collection confirming the absolute talents of Tisci who is going to a new stage, consolidating the essence of his work at GIVENCHY, one of the Fashion Power House Brand in the LVMH Group.

" I have this little obsession with sharks- their danger and their beauty". We love David's obsessions. The Mermaids that were wearing the collection made of dégradé pailletes, shark dress cuts, gunmetal, zipped, leathers and neoprene were absolutely “MUGLERIAN”.

I have always believe in Thierry Mugler as a designer, and in the essence and DNA of the MUGLER Brand. This Fashion Brand has an incredible success in the Fragrance Industry and should do even more in the Fashion & Accessories under David Koma Design . And this season, they are confirming being on the right “shark track” !
